Serving others is an important part of being a GAL girl. Below is a list of some of the places we have served or are currently serving. For a list of upcoming service events, check the calendar. Kids Against Hunger: Join the fight against hunger.
Convoy of Hope: A driving passion to feed the world.
The Kitchen: A place where persons, especially the poor, are welcomed and cared for with dignity and compassion.
Family Violence Center: provides shelter, advocacy, and education to women and children who are victims of domestic violence and promotes the principles that all individuals have the right to a life free from abuse.
Joy Assisted Living: a senior citizen home providing assistance, care and guidance.
Ozark Food Harvest: the only food bank in southwest Missouri, serving more than 300 nonprofit hunger relief organizations across 28 Ozarks counties. The Food Bank reaches more than 155,000 individuals and distributes 8.5 million pounds of food annually.

Isabel's House: offers a home away from home for children 12 and under, with education and support for the whole family in need.
Pregnancy Care Center: Empowering individuals by providing reliable information about every option available, so the best decision can be made.

Adopt-a-street
We also are involved in the Adopt-A-Street program. Our street is located on Saint Louis Street in Springfield, MO between National and Glenstone. We clean our street at least twice a semester.
Jesuka
Gamma Alpha Lambda also sponsors a child named Jesuka through Kids Alive International. More information to come.
Ovations
Ovations is the food service that runs all of the concession stands at MSU. All of the concession stands are staffed by volunteer groups such as us. We get a percentage of the profit made whenever we work for Ovations. Its always a fun time.
